Alternative to 3M VHB 5952 for automotive trim and badges
A black, double-sided acrylic foam tape (Saint-Gobain Norbond A7711), 1.1 mm thick. It builds adhesion quickly to automotive paint systems and to medium-surface-energy plastics such as ABS and ASA. Easy-release liner (white or red, depending on stock).
- Typical 90° peel (72 h): stainless steel 39.6 N/cm, ABS 48.6 N/cm, automotive painted panel 34.0 N/cm.
- Passes 7-day static shear at 80 °C / 500 g.
- Service temperature -35 °C to +93 °C. Resistant to UV and weathering.
- Uses: automotive aftermarket badges, body moulds and trim, and anywhere a black bond line matters for appearance.
Application: Surfaces must be clean and dry; wipe with isopropyl alcohol. Apply firm pressure (approx. 100–150 kPa) with a roller. Apply at approx. 16 °C to 40 °C. Bond strength builds over 72 hours.
