Made in Germany. Solvent free. Clear high-bond tape for low-surface-energy plastics (Prolink 800LE).
An alternative where you would otherwise use 3M VHB LSE tapes (note: 3M LSE tapes are white foam; this tape is clear).
A modified acrylate adhesive with very high initial tack that grips hard-to-bond surfaces such as PP, PE, powder coats and painted surfaces, some rubbers, and metals and plastics. 100% adhesive mass, 0.8 mm thick, and softer than the standard Clear – ideal for high bonds on lighter loads.
- Adhesion (N/25 mm, AFERA 5001): steel 39, aluminium 36, glass 37, PMMA 34, PVC 30, PP 26, PE 15.
- Service temperature -40 °C to +120 °C, short term up to +150 °C.
Application: Surfaces must be clean and dry; wipe with isopropyl alcohol. Apply firm pressure (approx. 100–150 kPa) with a roller. Apply at approx. 16 °C to 40 °C. Bond strength builds over 72 hours.
